Just for fun, I took pics of Saphira & Cade. I just really wanted to play with my new lens. Saphira was the perfect model for me...she stayed where I put her! She couldn't move, because it was too slippery for her. Oh darn! :)
I forgot to post this back a few weeks ago. Cade's team came in 2nd in our Area Championship. Wish I could say we took first, but it came down to the two teams in the league that were both undefeated - Us & the Cobras. Cobras just brought the bigger bats...we had a tough time hitting. On the upside, although we got a bit "trounced", Cade had all 3 of our RBI's for the game & hit a nice double! Oh....and I LOVE to play with the images...the kids get a kick out of it.
Finally, after much encouragement (and begging), Cade FINALLY agreed to cut the mop! I came in the other day to find him working at the computer with his head completely sideways, trying to see the screen through his hair! It was definitely time!!! Blake also had to cut his, but I haven't been able to get his "after" photo. I'll post one as soon as I can grab him & throw him into the studio for a few minutes!
I made a *last-minute* trip to Colorado this weekend, to see my friend!!! Man, I miss those Schmidts! I had a great time, and the weather was beautiful! Kristi & I just enjoyed talking & hanging out. We *did* get a little time for a manicure & pedicure and some shopping! Zach is HUGE & sooooo teen-agery. Kristi is beautiful as ever, Steve is a stud & my girls, Jill & Holly...well, they're as pretty as ever! Kristi is mean, and MADE me do a 'spin' class with her - which I have to admit, kicked my butt! It was a great trip. Just wish they still lived here!!!!
OK...so these were taken at the beginning of April, I just got around to putting them on here! Cade turned 11 - only one more year until he gets out of Primary!!! Cade got a new bat ($240 - can I hear a "cha-ching!"), and two new games from California & Texas Grandmas (& Grandpas), and a couple of nice presents, but Austin and I had the best time buying him "funny" presents from the dollar store. He got a knight figurine, a plastic bowling set, and oh yes...a fake barbie! LOL. Cade didn't appreciate those gifts so much! Oh, and also a deodorant! And of course...the traditional "Garrick" face plant in the cake!
So much for my every day thing...I just can't keep up with it! So...I'm going to shoot for once a week! This is Easter at the Cassell's house in Marble Falls. We had a nice Easter, although Saturday was freezing & actually snowed! Well, it snowed in Dallas - in Marble Falls it pretty much just sleeted. Anyways, it wasn't the "usual" Easter at the Lake. Last year we were on the Sea-doo. This year, we were all bundled up inside! The Easter bunny had to hide all the eggs in the house this year. Don't my children look SOOOOOOO happy on Easter morning??? Blake had found Cade's basket & told him where it was when Cade got up, which started a full-out war & Cade was TICKED, which made Blake get all drama & feel bad...hence, the overwhelming smiles on Easter morning. The only one that was more than happy to smile for the camera was my father-in-law. He just wanted his picture taken! Too bad he doesn't live closer...I'm always looking for willing subjects to practice on!!!
Cade is going to KILL me for this...don't tell him!!! He thought I was just "testing" my lights, so he was being his usual goofy self (unless other people are around) - and I caught him! Hee hee hee.
SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN FLOWER MOUND! I was feeling a little giddy with all the beautiful spring flowers starting to bloom. My beautiful little cherry tree (like the ones in D.C.) was in full bloom today - so I had to just *capture* some beautiful spring blooms!
