HOLY COW! It's been a while!!!

OK...to anyone that actually looks at this blog - I'M SORRY!!! I've been SO busy with the business, that I just haven't had any time at all to work on this one! My own personal pictures just never seem to get done! I'll try to add a few every day this week. Where to start...

Well, since I left off with Homecoming, here are a few of Austin's Freshman Football. He's now officially "JV" now though & spring practice has begun! Where does the time go??? 4 more weeks & school is out!!!

Snow in March!

Went the whole winter with nada - then we get two snow storms in MARCH! The kids had fun - Blake sledded & then Cade came up with the bright idea of taking wheels off of the old skateboards & "boarding" down the hill. I would have better pics of this...but I was cold and not-so-terribly-into taking pictures!!!

Homecoming Garter!

Yep - Homecoming already! Here's Austin with his Homecoming Garter ( a BIG tradition here!) - The girls wear "Mums" - which can be GINORMOUS - going all the way to the floor! And the boys wear Garters. This one is actually pretty small, compared to most of them. He's just a Freshman! LOL. Typically their dates give them their garters (same with mums) - but the football team all got one from the Booster Club. No date this year! And, this is his "Game day" attire that he has to wear to school on game days. We also decorated their entire locker room & put up decorations and posters on each of their lockers! It's quite a deal!!!

OK...I'm just bad, I've gone months without posting! But here's one from tonight. Austin finally was allowed to bring his uniform home - so I got to snap some shots! LOVING these!!! He's just so grown up!!! UGH!!!

Some friends picked Blake up to take him for a ride in a Shelby Mustang - these are really rare & super fast. He had a blast!!!

Twisters kick some butt!

We spent this last week at a Nationals baseball tournament. 120 teams from around the country, with 40 teams in our age group. We had a blast trading pins & playing a TON of baseball - 7 games this week. We ended up being placed in the Gold division, after a tough start and a VERY tough bracket. We were beat in the game that would put us in the winners division of the Gold bracket, and ended up playing for 5th place in the Gold (in large part due to an EXTREMELY poorly called game by an umpire that apparently just wanted to go home!) Not making excuses here, but even the other umpire apologized to us! Don't mind losing when we just get beat, but it really hurts when it's due to poor officials!!! Anyways, that game put us in the top end of the losers bracket, playing for 5th place in Gold. We played that final "championship" game today & played a fantastic game, winning 9-7. Cade pitched the last two innings & pitched a no-hitter, to clinch our win - facing only 7 batters in two innings (1 got on on error)! It was a great team effort & the Twisters kicked some major butt, coming in ahead of many AAA teams! Good week!!!!!

Beach Trip!

We spent 4 very fun days at Surfside Beach, TX. Brad & MaryAnn were gracious enough to rent a beach house for the week, and it was really wonderful!!! We all had a great time. I got a *tad* sunburned, and we all boogie boarded to our heart's content!

Saphira & Cade!

Just for fun, I took pics of Saphira & Cade. I just really wanted to play with my new lens. Saphira was the perfect model for me...she stayed where I put her! She couldn't move, because it was too slippery for her. Oh darn! :)
